Contract Formation in Singapore
Published on 4th January, 2016 by Benjamin Li Yong Le
Several elements have to be present before a contract can be said to be formed in the eyes of the law. They include (1) offer; (2) acceptance; (3) consideration; and (4) intention to create legal relations.
For a contract to be valid under Singapore contract law, four elements need to be present, namely:-
- Offer;
- Acceptance of Offer;
- Consideration;
- Intention to create Legal Relations.
I will discuss each element in separate articles under the "Contract Formation" section.
